Useful Guitar Related Websites

Here is a list of helpful websites that I have visited from time to time to obtain tabs, practice along with online drum tracks, tune a guitar, find helpful reviews for guitar widgets and electronics.

1. ultimate-guitar.com - one of the biggest guitar tab archives on the net. On this website you can find a tab for almost any song.

Note that a majority of the tabs on the website are uploaded by ordinary users, so not all of them are brilliant, and accurate.

Often they have a few tabs for a one song. Usually the one that has more stars, is the most accurate one.

2. all-guitar-chords.com - powerful guitar chord generator.

Here you can find any chord by giving its:
• key (C, D, E, F...)
• type (major, minor, 7sus4, dim...)

You can also:
• specify a different bass note for a particular chord (C/F, Am/G, B7/D...)
• Choose from a few variations of the same chord, positioned at different parts on the fingerboard.

3. online-musical-scales.com - basic, blues, jazz and exotic musical scales in guitar tab and sheet music format. The scales also include audio examples.

4. ultimate-guitar-tuner.com - chromatic online guitar tuner with a comprehensive needle-style look. This tuner utilizes the built-in microphone of a laptop computer to tune a guitar.

If you want to use external microphone (on any computer) or plug in your guitar directly to the line input of your sound card, use this link instead.

5. f-guitar.com - Online guitar practice toolbox.

Here you can find online metronome, tuner fork, drum and jam tracks conveniently placed on one single page.

6. zzounds.com - Online music store with helpful reviews on musical instruments, gadgets and guitar electronics. Good prices and free shipping for many items.

The store operates in the US only.

7. Bizrate.com - a huge price comparison site that allows you to shop online for the best deals and lowest prices.

8. jamplay.com - professionally made guitar lessons in variety of musical genres, with many instructors of different teaching styles and methods.

Besides blues, rock, jazz or acoustic guitar lessons located on this website, here I also was able to find more rare things like Celtic guitar lessons and songs.

These lessons contain high quality videos using multiple camera angles that allows you to see both hands in action.
